I don't know how many of you have heard of him, but :iconeddsworld: passed away recently after 6 years of struggling with cancer. It was so shocking for me, I remember watching this guy's animations when he was posting on Sheezyart four, five years ago. You expect them to fade into obscurity with time, but it's always so shocking to hear the news that someone you know from the internet  has died. It's kind of silly, but it's like internet people seem immortal.
Oh well.

I never crossed paths with his animations, but I was surprised to see how many of my friends had been fans of his and watched a whole bunch. All of his work will continue to be seen, and his creations, humor and imagination will live on.

Yep, that's the good thing. At least he left his mark.

I remember him a long while ago on Newgrounds. After I got off from there, I kinda didn't see his stuff for a while. A year or so ago I refound some Eddworld

Now I finally remembered to rewatch him.

Heard about it last night. Only really watched a few of his cartoons. They made the good point in his farewell video that while he's dead, his cartoons will be there forever.
There's an artist here called Buuzen who used to do lots of Tenchu fan art I really liked who died of pneumonia a few years ago. I keep checking back on his page every now and then sometimes thinking there'll be a new one only to be met with all the RIP comments. It's a strange feeling.

Yeah, definitely. It-s like his stuff is there, part of him is there, but it's strange knowing that it'll stay that way because he can't update anymore. Weird feeling.

I always wonder if it'll ever be deleted, or what the site's policy is. We're lucky (I think) to live in an age where we can leave so many pieces of our lives on the internet. Electric heaven.

Yeah, it's a double-edged sword though. You can leave a piece of yourself, but that means that all the embarrassing shit you did also stays forever.

Oh lord, do I know. Hopefully the forums I used to hang around in at age 12 are gone down by now...not that I ever stopped being a dumbass on the internet but it's more intentional now.

"but it's more intentional now" hahaha, same. Kind of. I'm still a tool.
